Clotefi

The Clothing Textile & Fibre Technology Development Company (CLOTEFI) was founded in 1986 to pursue the application and utilisation of the results of applied and technological research, and to provide scientific and technological services to businesses and organisations in the textile and clothing sector. It operates as a Societe Anonyme, and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Development's General Secretariat for Research & Technology. Since then it has developed into a dynamic Technology Centre on the European scale, with a range of activities covering the sectors of applied research, product control and certification, the development of specifications, the provision of specialist and consultancy services , and advisory and technical support for businesses in the textile and clothing sector. CLOTEFI is the first Quality Control Laboratory for textile products in Greece to have won accreditation from the National Accreditation Council (September 2000) in accordance with the European Standard ΕΝ 45001 more recently in accordance with the Greek Standard ΕLΟΤ ΕΝ ISO/IEC 17025.
