The innovation center
The Microsoft Innovation Center in Greece has been inaugurated by Bill Gates and the Prime Minister of Greece on January 2008 with the vision to help transform Greece into a leader on technological innovation and entrepreneurship. The Greek Microsoft Innovation Center targets students, entrepreneurs and ISVs with the purpose to help them develop innovative software solutions. MIC Greece has transferred - since its inauguration - technological and business know-how to 400 companies, has provided free access to Microsoft tools and products to 120.000 students and 80 startups, is currently incubating 5 startups and has organized and hosted more than 60 events and trainings for 4000 students, entrepreneurs and technologists. Moreover, MIC Greece maintains relationships with 40 academic and industry partners collaborating and investing in R&D ideas.
